World Peace Day

Peace Day is celebrated every 30th of January in the schools to remember the death of Ghandhi, who was born on 2nd October, 1869 in Porbandar, he was the most prominent leader of the Indian Independence Movement against the British Raj, for which he practised nonviolent civil disobedience, as well as a pacifist, politician, thinker and Indian Hindu lawyer.
He died on 30th January, 1948, he was 78 years old when he was going for a walk in Nueva Delhi, he was murdered by Nathuram Godse and his ashes were thrown into the river Ganges.
On the day of peace everybody does activites related to peace and we remember people who fought for the peace. Moreover, we remember all the people who were killed during the wars.
We remember people like Oskar Schindler, mother Teresa of Calcutta, Martin Luther King, Juan Pablo II, Nelson Mandela...
From my point of view the peace day is a good day to celebrate.
