Damned 2020 is finally coming to an end!!!

2020 has been a very strange year that has affected everyone and that has changed the lives of all the people, from children to elderly people. 2020 started and we could see on tv that a virus, which orignated in China, was seriously affecting many people. Besides, in January some terrible forest fires broke out in Australia, in which hundreds of trees were burned and many animals such as koalas or kangaroos have were burned to death. We can see it on many images on Internet and we feel really sad. Also we can add the death of the basketball player Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gianna.

In March, Coronavirus-19 arrived in Spain and a lockdown started. Covid-19 has spread and millions of people have been infected. It is finishing with the life of many people mainly with old people or people with respiratory or cardiac problems. Nevertheless young people without any problems have died.
Coronavirus is very infectious, and without knowing if we have the virus we can transmit it to 3 or 4 people approximately. Because of this situation everyone must be at home except doctors and nurses, who had to stay in hospital, apart from other works

Fortunately, in May the number of infections decreased and new normality arrived. We could go out with friends or with family. Shops, restaurants and gyms opened again but the use of face masks was mandatory.

However, not everything has been bad this year. We have learned to value the little things and enjoy them. For example, a year ago we didn’t appreciate how lucky we are. Last year we could spend time with family and friends without being afraid of spreading a virus and without a limited number of people. We have spent Christmas at home and without many relatives and parties could not be celebrated.

Finally, this year has been hard but we have to be optimistic and think about the good things the new year can bring us. Next year, we hope covid-19 ends and everyone gets the vaccine.
